Emiliano Martinez
The game this week between Aston Villa and Chelsea showed the difference a top class keeper can have, with Martinez on one side making 5 saves to keep his team in the game, whilst on the other side, Filip Jorgensen made the crucial mistake to hand Villa the win late on .
Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Wan-Bissaka showed his all-round game at the Emirates this weekend, with his key contribution of the game being a great cross to find his teammate Jarred Bowen for a wide open header for the decisive goal in the game.
Along with his assist, Wan-Bissaka also completed 3/4 dribbles, won 9/14 of his duels, blocked 1 shot, made 1 tackles and 6 clearances in a dominant display on his side of the pitch.
Maxence Lacroix
Lacroix has been a Rolls Royce of a centre-back ever since he put on a Crystal Palace shirt at the start of this season, and he was again dominant at Craven Cottage, leading his side to a clean sheet against a Fulham side that had only blanked three times in the PL before Saturday.
Lacroix won all 7 of his duels, blocked 1 shot, made 1 interception, 4 tackles and an impressive 12 clearances to help his side to a 5th straight away clean sheet.
Virgil Van Dijk
In a weekend where Arsenal dropped points, it felt like a win at the Etihad would all but seal Liverpool the PL title, and it was Liverpool's defensive efforts that was pivotal in their victory, only allowing City 0.6 xG, their lowest total this season.
With no Erling Haaland, Van Dijk had a different job, marking open space, preventing runners and dribblers to have the ball in the box, and Van Dijk eased trough this, making 2 tackles, 1 interception, blocking 3 shots and making 9 clearances.
Lewis Hall
Hall will no doubt be in Thomas Tuchel's plans for England, especially if he consistently puts in these quality performances, with his key contributions being assisting Lewis Miley for Newcastle's first goal and winning the penalty for Newcastle's third.
Along with this, Hall completed 50/56 passes, created 3 chances, completed 3/3 dribbles whilst also winning 11/17 of his duels, won 6 tackles, made 2 interceptions, blocked 1 shot and made 3 clearances.
Will Hughes
Hughes has been integral in Crystal Palace's form of late, and against a physical Fulham midfield, 29 year old Hughes came out on top as it was Hughes' corner that Joachim Andersen deflected into his own net for Palace's opener.
Hughes also contributed 4 clearances, blocking 2 shots, making 2 interceptions, completing 5 tackles and won 7/12 of his duels.
Bruno Fernandes
It is a wonder where Manchester United would be without Bruno Fernandes over the past few years, and it was clear again at Goodison Park, he is levels above his United teammates, taking over the game, especially when he was moved back into deeper midfield.

It was Fernandes' excellent free-kick that got United back into the game, but that was just the surface of his contributions, as the Portuguese created 2 chances, completed 3/6 dribbles, completed 7/13 long balls, whilst also winning 8/12 duels and making 5 tackles.
Bryan Mbeumo
Mbeumo has taken his game to another level this season, spearheading Brentford's attack, with 19 goal contributions in 26 games and he added another two to his tally at The King Power Stadium.
Mbeumo took his goal very well, with his trademark cut inside on his left foot and whipping the ball into the far corner and he put the ball on a plate from a free kick for Christian Norgaard to head home for Brentford to take a 3-0 lead before half-time.
Brennan Johnson
In his first Premier League start in over a month, Johnson took his opportunity on his return to the first XI, netting 2 goals within the first 30 minutes to take his PL total up to 9, making him Spurs' top scorer this season.
Johnson always seems to be at the right place at the right time to get onto the end of his teammates assists, making himself available for a back-post tap-in for his first and in space in the middle of the box for a left-footed finish to grab his second.
Mohamed Salah
Salah is having an all-timer PL season, and it was again on show at the Etihad, grabbing his 40th and 41st goal contribution as he put his team within touching distance of a 20th league title.
Salah may not have his fingerprints all over the game like other top players, who always demand the ball, he often stays wide and waits for his opening, and when he gets his chance, his quality is second to none, popping up in the box to finish for Liverpool's opener and assisting Dominic Szoboszlai to double their lead.
Joao Pedro
Joao Pedro doesn't get the opportunity to play the lone striker often, as he usually plays just behind the centre forward, but with Danny Welbeck out of the side, Pedro was trusted up front and he did not disappoint.
Pedro has two pieces of key quality in the game, showcasing his all-round game, scoring with great composure to send Aaron Ramsdale to the floor before chipping the ball over him, and then perfectly laying of the ball into Karou Mitoma's path to grab an assist.
